1st place was 12 species. I'll list what I remember from our batch. Trout, ladyfish, blue, flounder, pinfish, croaker, shark, sea bass, lizardfish, hardhead, sailcat, and one massive ballyhoo :-D Folks brought in a cowfish, TC had the only redfish, there were spanish...and the list goes on and on. I lost a cobia at the boat :smt010 ; but, I think he was undersized anyway. Sir Reel was toying with a 6 foot shark that would have takin' big fish. That shark saw Bud and ran the other way. :-D Steve and Butch had big fish with probably a three foot shark.

My partner has done a fine job of recall'n the variations that came on board. The only information I would add is that He makes a great partner, and that we basically fished 3 different areas/depths. We ended up with something like:
Trout 5 (3 shorts)
Flounder 2
Sea Bass 4 (several shorts)
Lady fish (one used for bait and too many more to count were released)
Sail Cat 1 (plus one released at boat)
Hard head cat 1
Blue fish 1
lizard fish 1
pin (probably over a dozen)
croaker (4 or 5)
shark 1
needle fish/ballyhoo? 1

We fished and looked hard for a Spanish but could never connect. We had 3 or 4 rather severe hits while bottom fishing that took rigs and broke off. Water was dirty in close lot of suspended particles. Water temp was really up there, 85 early but I saw 88 later even after we moved deeper. Action was fairly constant all day long and made for a good day. One unusual thing that I remember was having my favorite bite a bait floater/diver lure being cut off by something with teeth in his head TWICE! Each time it wasn't hooked and floated to the top to be retrieved with the dip net! I swear that thing has 9 lives :D Thanks Rick for a job well done.

I have to say good job to everybody who fished. It was hot but based on all the species that were brought to the table (pun intended) everybody worked hard and it showed.

Best time of the day! Sunrise on the flats and Eerman is already after em!!
