I was just looking back through some of old GPS tracks in Mapsource, 35 miles seem to be an average fishing trip. Chalk's right you got to keep moving til you find them.

You can't go 35 miles on a tank of gas.

Chalk/BD,
Keep moving to find them may be my biggest deficiency. I get to an area and tend to overfish. I'll follow that advice next time.

I'm soon to be storing an RV at Tyndall AFB, so I might be spending some more time in that area shortly. How's SJB in the Fall?

I agree. St. Joe Bay is worthless in October.

Ron, if you have confidence in your bait and you're not getting bit after 15-20 minutes, move on the the next spot.

Pick out 6 or 8 spots that you believe hold fish and start fishing them. If you get through all of them in a day then start over. But I bet you 1 or 2 of those spots will pay off.
