STATE FARM INSURANCE
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT THINK STATE FARM INSURANCE IS SUCH A GREAT COMPANY. I HOPE THAT YOU SAW 20/20 ON NATIONAL T/V. WHAT I SAID ABOUT STATE FARM HAS NOW COME OUT ON HOW STATE FARM HAS TRIED TO BEAT THEIR OWN CLIENTS OUT OF THE MONEY THEY HAD COMING TO THEM FOR THE DAMAGE FROM KATRINA. IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT THEY CHANGED ENGINEERS REPORTS , JUST DOWN RIGHT FRAUD, LIES, CROOKED LAWYERS, TO KEEP FROM PAYING LEGITIMENT CLAIMS. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO DO IN MY CLAIM, THEY NOW HAVE CHANGED THEIR MINDS AND DECIDED THAT THEY WERE LIABLE. WHEN SOMEONE PLOWS IN TO THE REAR OF YOUR VEHICLE AND TOTALS IT OUT , WHILE YOU ARE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT 45 MPH IS CERTAINLY AT FAULT. ANY PAIN YOU MAY HAVE AS A RESULT OF THAT SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR. ALSO THE LOSS OF INCOME FROM YOUR BUSINESS, EXTRA COST OF HIRED LABOR, CHANGE IN LIFESTYLE, AND DOCTOR, HOSPITAL, MEDICATION, REPLACEMENT OF VEHICLE SHOULD SHOULD BE PAID FOR WITHOUT ANY QUESTION. THE INJURIES I RECEIVED FROM THE ACCIDENT HAVE LINGERED ON NOW FOR OVER 2 1/2 YEARS AND I THINK I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED A RESONABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO COVER THESE THINGS, NOT A PAULTRY $16,0000.
I HOPE ALL OF YOU HERE ON THE FORUM SAW THE 20/20 PROGRAM AND PROMPTLY CANCEL YOUR POLICIES WITH STATE FARM, THEY ARE STILL A CRUMMY COMPANY.

I WOULD DOUBT THAT THE LOCAL AGENT HAS ANY INPUT WHEN IT COMES TO STATE FARM PAYING OUT MONEY. I KNOW IN MY CASE IT DID NOT HELP.

Minor claims can be handled on the local level.
Significant claims immediately go regional. They are first delayed thru stall tactics, then company paid consultants (in most cases these are well known charlatans), along with more stall tactics. When claims are submitted they remove the total amount of claims immediately from their general operating fund and place into a payment pending fund which they are able to invest in short term endeavors. Large companies like State Farm have staffs of investment brokers to handle millions of dollars a day in investments from their pending claim funds. They immediately have a 30 day grace period and it usually goes several months. They also operate on the principal (which often is true) that claimants will get frustrated and lose interest in pursuing claims.

It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

BOY YA HIT THE NAIL RIGHT ON THE HEAD. THEY DO NOT KNOW THE OLD MAN OF THE SEA, I MIGHT BE OLD BUT I AM GOING TO GET OLDER AND IF THIS THING DRAWS OUT MUCH LONGER, THEY WILL FIND OUT THIS OLD MAN IS PATIENT, AND STILL GOT A LOT OF FIGHT LEFT IN HIM. THE LONGER IT DRAWS OUT , THE HIGHER THE CLAIM WILL BE.

On the other hand, I have been well pleased with my experiences with State Farm. I have 5 cars, 2 boats and homeowners with them.
Included claims are 2 wrecks (not me personally and they were both the other party's fault) a dog bite liability case (circuit and civil) and most recently, 2 lightening trees and house phone claim.
In every instance, the local agent office, the regional (or whereever) adjuster and appraiser have been available and helpful. The multiple and sizable discounts from having this much business with them make other company's premiums much higher. Granted, things can change, but for now..like a good neighbor - State Farm has been there.

I have to agree with RodBow. I've had State Farm for years now, and never had a problem. My local agent here in Tallahassee has never given me a problem with settling anything. They are always right on the ball. Of course they get about $200 a month from me to insure everything from the house to the business. I know that it only takes one apple (maybe 2 or 3
) to ruin the bunch, but I can only speak from past experience from dealing with my agent only. Never had to deal directly with the company itself.....that's my agent's job. What goes on after I talk to them, is their business with dealing with their company and so far they have done a great job. I hope it works out for ya PA......
