We went out very early daylight came back around noon we caught 8 keeper trout but 0 redfish saw a bunch of spanish but we could not do anything with them

What depth did you generally find the trout?
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

we caught the fish in 5 to 6 feet of water
