Just purchased my new boat today!!!!!

Post by mojokoko »

Well I traded in the J16 Carolina Skiff and got my self a new toy today. I will not have any pictures or have the boat for a few weeks but as soon as I get it pictures will be posed.

I decided on a SCOUT 18 foot bay boat 2006 model with a Yamaha
4 strok 115. I am having 2 seats, troling motor, GPS/FF unit COLOR,
and VHF installed.

Scout Boat

GPS/FF

I dont have any links for the other stuff. I went out on a test drive with "my" new boat and was able to get thad badboy up to 50 MPH. I was in 2 foot seats actually and I didnt feel a damn thing. Its a very dry boat.

The Scouts are way cool. We sold our J-16 to buy our Cape Horn 17 and as much as we love the "big" boat, that J-16 sure loved the skinny water. Wish I had both. Some good friends just bought a Scout and cannot say enough good things about it. Congratulations!
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and the line at the boat ramp gets longer.
