Caught 7 slab specs, 1 big flier. Bite was over at 8:00.

Gonna have a fish fry today with these specs and yesterday's trout and flounder. :lick:

Redbelly, do you by chance drive a green truck ? I may have seen you at the landing this morning. I only had 6 but they were nice slabs as well. Had a couple of breakoffs. Just finished putting new line on my ultra light. My plan is the same as yours, fish fry and football tonight...

I know a Kirby, I loaded up right after you did. I saw you talking to some guy about fishing. I was in a silver Dodge truck. I don't remember what your boat was. there sure were a lot of boats on the lake this morning especially for this time of year. Next time I see you I will introduce myself.

Super secret special made crappie jigs in a new color never seen before!!

I only have been using jigs, no live minners. :D

Redbelly, sounds like we are fishing alike. I too use 4 lb. test on a ultralight rig with jigs. I will sometimes use minnows for a change of pace. Them slabs will give that ultralight outfit all it can handle. I may go tomorrow evening and give it a try if so I'll report my catch or lack of.

Ultralight is reel fun :-D I like fishing evenings and this is the time of year they start doing good in the eves.

Also I will start using minners in the cooler weather.
