this weekend? All the fresh water flowing into the shallows, won't that scatter the trout?

Had plans for saturday.

Nope. (I hope not)

I'm more worried about the passage of the front. Hunting or fishing the day after a front passes usually sux.

I say no, some say yes.....biggest trout I ever had come into my boat was caught off the bank when the water was flooding over the seawall at the Econfina ramp on a negative lowtide....I fish the same, monsoon or drought

I've caught them after a run of rain and I've been skunked. Just run off doesn't seem to affect them much, but I usually try to stay away from major rivers or rivers flowing at flood stage. I think the drop in salinity does affect them some. I used to fish between Keaton Beach and Spring Warrior when there is a lot of water, because there are no rivers in that area. Just remember, no matta what...a day fishing beats any day working :-D

Will This Rain mess up the flats?
It will, for a few days. But with no more rain in the forecast, things should start coming around by Saturday.

All this rain means more water in the tributaries, which means more flowing water. It'll be a good weekend to anchor up around a creek mouth. :-D
What was I supposed to do today?
