A Bay Charter Report

Post by 1-850-Bay-Fish »

Rain rain go away come on back another day !!
Wow it rained most every day but I did manage one day in St Joe bay where we spanked the trout using a silver spoon , a popin cork with a smoke color grub and a top dog in bone color. We also landed many good Spainish, blue fish and ladyfish. The water on the east side was full of run off so we fished the west side from the point to the south end of the bay. Lots of bait every where we went and lots of good fish.

Fished St George Island from the Gulf beach one afternoon and took a good number of trout all around 17 inch using the smoke color grub with a 3/8 oz red head .

Fished Indian Pass (West) end a few hours over a couple days and did well on Jacks and Spainish. We used live mullet on the bottom in the deeper areas.

Water temps have come down 5 degrees in a week so look for all fishing to change soon. I hate it myself but I know a lot of you are waiting for the cooler waters. I have been told of good sheepshead around the bridges already this week. And for those of you that have gotten out in between rain showers with us you know how nice it has been .

Good luck and have a safe trip
