Well, I thought Skag would post a report, but he must actually be working. We set out from the lighthouse in Skag's boat around 11:00 yesterday to fish the afternoon falling tide. Instead of heading to the East River like usual, we took advantage of the exceptionally high tide and set out directly for the Wakulla Beach area. Fishing started slow, a few cats and ladyfish, but really picked up around 2:00 or so. We ended up catching about 7 reds, took home two nice ones for the grill. After the stingrays showed up, we headed back towards the East River, fished just a little bit, and then had to call it a day as the motor decided to act up. Hopefully it was just a fuel filter issue, but if not I expect a post requesting input from this field of experts.
