What nice weather this morning. Had to try a place someone shared with me and promised not to tell where. Sure enough I found baby tarpon feeding on the surface this morning. It only took a few minutes to hook up and about the same to bring it in. Two great jumps and nice but short fight. Snapped a couple pics with my old 35 mm (hope the pics turn out) and sent it on its way to grow up. I was beginning to think Id never get one from the yak. Ahhh sucess
Guess I better get to work now

Just wanted to restate...the tarpon I caught yesterday was a baby, less then 10 lbs. Looked just like the big ones and gave a good fight on my 8 wt but still a baby. Just wanted to mention this since a few people want to see the pics. Ill have them up next week. I knew that the tarpon in this place were small when I set out. If I can figure out how to catch them regularly on my 3wt, it will be a very fun winter. Didnt mean to mislead anyone....well maybe just a little

GRATZ, Steve! I'm thrilled that you finally got one. Size doesn't matter! At least that's what my wife always tells me...
