CIS - 09/22/06

Post by Chalk »

Got an invite to go fishing with Barhopr on his new Beavertail B2 on CIS. I have been wanting to see and ride in a new B2 and wanted to fish CIS, so it looked like a perfect opportunity to see the boat, bay and fish with a fellow Georgian.

Barhopr arrived at the ramp around 1630, we meet, got the boat ready and launched the B2. Headed down the bay...The boat is really sweet, the four blade prop just held on at all jack plate heights.....Very quite boat, compared to mine, roomy...I liked it

But will it catch fish? Sure does, I wasn't aware this was the maiden salt water fishing voyage for Barhopr's boat, felt honored to be on the maiden voyage.

Barhopr gave me the bow and we worked the bank, finally caught a few dink reds near a creek....eased into the creek and missed a good fish, followed up with the first keeper and blood in the boat :-D ...Nice 20" redfish in the box.

We fish on down the creek, Barhopr brings a few small reds to the boat....We move on down the sound to another spot...We caught a few more dinks, some lady fish...Barhopr locks into a nice 26.5" redfish, really sweet way to end the day and break in the B2 redfish style.

Tried to get a nice running shot but the camera (me) wouldn't hold still  Barhopr probably thinking what's this retard doing

Appreciate the invite Barhopr, really love the boat, had a great time, hope to do it again...
