Went east to a creek and each of us put a redfish in the box in short order (20" - 23"). Also pulled a nice flounder up to the boat. It turned out that he was just playing a friendly game of tug of war which he quickly abandoned when he saw the net. That seems to happen every time with these fish
It was a little too rough to make it out to the spot where we caught the spanish last week. We stayed closer in and rounded out the day with some nice rock bass for the frydaddy and a couple of fat trout.
Fished both sides of the 3:00 high tide. Used gulps and regular plastic jigs. The gulps caught more fish but we got one of the reds on a regular plastic jig.
Not a braggin' day fishing-wise, but had a nice day with my Dad and made a new friend from my hometown. I thought I knew everybody there already, but I guess you miss some of the new folks after 25 years in the big city.
