Leather holster preservative help

Post by KarstRanger »

What do you guys use to put on your knife or pliers leather holster to keep it from rotting in salt water environment? I just bought a new one for my favorite pliers and wanted to hopefully waterproof it or whatever would be the best long term.

Mink oil. It's actually a thick cream. Waterproof's and protects better than anything I've used.
What was I supposed to do today?
