Left the hill just a little before daylight went to 90'. The bite was on as soon as we got there.Caught the limit of nice red grouper quick & then comes the hard part releasing several 10#-12# red grouper because we had that massive 1 per person limit. Caught only 2 keeper gags & several short gags & reds also 17"red snapper,30" king mack, got leader broke 3 times to really good fish.On the way back in stopped on good spot in 55' that i have caught many fish on in the past but did not even get a bite this time.Seas was running 2-4 in the morning but not rough, calmed to 1-2 in the evening, kinda just the opposite from what noaa said.
Water temp on the flats was 76 still 80 offshore.
All fish caught on live pinfish.Squid & cut bait did not catch anything. A big sea turtle give up the ghost. And a pod of flippers was playin. It was a very nice day on the big pond.
Total bring home
2-red grouper
2-gags
1-red snapper

Looks like you fish just outside of where I used to fish out of Steinhatchee. It is almost straight out from Horseshoe. Nice pics!
