Anyone want to go fishing Oct 8-13 Port St Joe area?
I'll be staying in Indian pass near port st joe these dates. Looking for a fishing buddy for a bay/inshore excursion. I'll be coming down on vacation from KY and don't know the area well. Bait and area recommendations would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard bandersnatch....We will be fishing a tournament out of there the 14th...Probably won't be over there again until the 13th....The fine folks at Presnell's, Bluewater and Half Hitch Tackle can point in the right direction on bait and where the fish are chewing.....Fishing the middle grounds, grass and sand holes should put you on some fish.

Where are these places?
Am I better off in St Joe bay, or indian lagoon. I've looked at putting in at the state park on indian penninsula, and then fishing the inshore side of St Vincent Island, but I don't know if I'll get sucked out into the gulf while crossing the pass between penninsula and island. Where are some good holes in the bay or indian lagoon? Where is a bait/tackle shop close to adventure rd between cape san blas and indian penninsula? Shewww! My fingers are out of breath. Very excited about this trip. I am new to salt with the Kayak (Ocean Drifter) will have a gps, cell phone, and I am working on borrowing a marine radio. I am a decent paddler, and have been yakking lakes in KY for about 6 months. Where should I avoid to keep me out of trouble? I do not plan on going out in the gulf at all.
I haven't fished around Indian pass area; but, with a kayak, I would think St. Joe would be perfect. If you haven't fished that bay, you need to give it a try.

I wouldn't paddle Indian Pass to St. Vincent....alot of weird currents in there....To dangerous for me
If I had a kayak....I would put in south of presnells in St. Joe bay, where the water is near the road....you would have to wade a little bit, but you would be inline with some good fishing areas once you paddled a little ways west....other place would be eagle harbor and paddle north along the cape....St. George Island State park on the bay side would be a good place to prospect as well...
