KA Tournament 10/1

Post by rocket »

Fishmasterson and I pre-fished for the KA Tournament on Friday and Saturday out of Aucilla. This tournament was a combined wieght for heaviest stringer of two trout and redfish.
We found some good reds Friday but Saturday they were being finicky!! Sunday we started back at the same spot, and picked up a red on top water right off the bat, but that was it. Decided to run west to secret creek #1, and picked up another red, but we knew they were not winners, so we moved to secret #2. Nothing happening there.
We decided to run back east (spent 30 minutes getting out of the creek due to a fast falling tide) and go ahead and pick up our trout. Started catching trout, then FM puts a decent red in the boat, and it was time to go.
I think we placed 10th or 11th out of (I think) 38 boats. Well out of the money for sure! Sure wish we would have done better.
Winners got a check for $1700, congrats to them
Saw JT51, and his brother there. Good to BS with you JT as always.

Sounds like typical tournament fishing. I always catch my best fish on pre-fish day. :-D
What was I supposed to do today?
