Need a 5 HP outboard for duck hunting locally. Will consider 3 or 4 HP.
Crazy FWC regulations
restrict motors on Lake Miccosukee to 5HP or less, so that is reason I have to pass on 6HP or greater.
(Already have a 9.9.)

That is EXACTLY what I was going to post.
What are they going to check your displacement?

Thought of that -- I have run into a couple of instances of where very picky enforcement by LEOs has actually been ordered at the Lieutenant level - not here in town but elsewhere in the state.
If someone out there knows otherwise I would be glad to hear it, but I have assumed this rule (silly though it is) is enforced.

I've got an extra. PM me for details.
You know you can't even use an outboard on Iamonia during the regular season.

I hunted Miccosoukee for years. My nine hp go-devil is still in my barn. I painted over the stickers, and ran it like a five hp. Before the go-devil, I ran a six hp outboard.
As long as you don't come hauling a$$ in from your blind, or on the way out either, the man won't mess with you.
I say that and you'll get a ticket opening day, but I never had a problem.

I friend had a 9hp go devil with 5hp stickers on it. The GW on Mic. made a comment about it to indicate he knew it wasnt a 5hp, but left it at that.
