Left LH around 1030. Fished west side. Nothing in close. Outside flats and duckblind yielded trout and ladies. Mid-late afternoon followed large school of feeding spanish, blues, jack, ladies. Lots of fun but lost two lures by my own doing, wasnt cut off. First, I was getting a ladyfish off the lure and the snap came unsnapped and the fish jerked itself back into water-bye,bye fish and lure. Pull out box, find nice lure for the school, start to show buddy what Im going to use next-silver spoon w/treble, I drop it on front platform and it plops into water
Anyways... we caught 5-6 trout, 5-6 ladies, 6-7 spanish, a jack, a blue, and a catfish. 1 keeper trout-16, 4 spanish 1nice1 ~20-21"
Weird thing was in this feeding school... the trout were aggressive too, chasing and hitting our lures. Ive never seen that before.

Sounds like fun to me!

If I don't loose at least a lure or two or three or four or more I don't feel like I've been fishing!

I'm selective though....I usually only loose newer lures! :o
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

2 or 3 or 4 lures a trip!? Good gravy!
I lose one maybe every 3rd or 4th trip.

I'm one of those that generally manage to lose a lure every trip too -- especially when there's spanish up top and rocks down below. That's why I buy the cheapest stuff I can find. The problem is that even the cheap stuff is expensive these days. :smt010

Nice report Woodburn  Those bigger spanish are a blast to catch. Sound like you had a good time
