Great Report!

I was just east of mouth of Aucilly from first light until about 11:30 on
Saturday. I must say there was a cool wind blowing(!) most of the
morning. On Fri am I had found an area holding trout and reds and wanted to fish it again on Sat. The wind made it quite difficult to thoroughly fish the area but it still produced 5 reds to 25" and nice limit of trout to 22". Tried the same on Sun afternoon without much happening.
After an hour I moved on east into creek mouth and picked up two really nice reds and a 24" trout on slack tide and also was able to get out of
floating grass for a short while.
All in all a great weekend!
Highlight was Fri am: hooked a red and followed him about 10 minutes
with electric as I could not turn him around on my light tackle. He
finally circled to east and in process got around several clumps of
heavy grass. Dumb me cut straight toward him to take up slack and
then realized I had messed up. I saw him twice and the last time I swear he was smiling at me.....as he broke off! From my two views of him
I have no doubt he was 36"+. What a blast! If it gets any better than
that I expect to see angels!
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
