Fished the morning low tide at Lanark. Managed 11 reds in all. Got a couple on spinning rod and gold spoon wading in ankle to knee deep water. Went back to the boat and got the fly rod and managed 7 on it. Once the tide was in, got back in the boat and got a couple more on the spinning rod. Fished the afternoon high tide around the shoreline at SGI. Got 14 more reds on spinning rod and 1 on the fly. Sorry no pics. As per usual, I forgot the camera.
Very nice Supa. Think you guys went out just before me. I was forced off the water by motor problems but had a feeling it was going to be a solid day. Good job.
Thanks guys. Yeah Nole, I think I saw you putting your boat in as I was heading out of the marina. I thought my day was going to be cut short by motor problems as well. I got out in front of the reef and noticed my engine wasn't peeing. I took the cowling off and disconnected the tube from the motor housing. Tried blowing in it and I could feel some resistance, but it wouldn't break free. Then out of desperation, I tried something I've never tried before - sucking. After four mouthfuls of nasty, gas-tasting water, the fifth and final one produced a small amount of black debris. Put everything back together, fired it up, and it was peeing like a race horse. I thought it was odd that I never saw you come out of the channel. Thought you had slipped by me on the way to one of your secret redfish honeyholes.
