grouper-itis

Post by UFgator »

unfortunately (or fortunately) Friday i caught grouper-itis, brought on by catching a big redfish and some AJ's on some artificial reefs.

I am new to this also (been alot, new to captaining my own rig), and i don't have a collection of #'s. I can get the artificial reef coordinates, but was wondering is this the best way to go, look for bottom between reefs? Can anyone point me to a general area where bottom maybe found, or is it just anywhere? Or will anyone hook me up w/ some #'s in trade for some cuban cigars, or trips to catch these critters?

thanks again for bearing w/ me and my n00b questions 8)

UF, start with the public numbers. All of the public reefs are placed on good bottom. Throw a trolling bait out, start riding, keep your eye on your bottom machine, and a finger on the mark button on your GPS. There's plenty of stuff out there.
What was I supposed to do today?

8) thanks tin can and wevans

looks like the weather will suck for getting out there until the weekend, if then, so it's back to getting my arse kicked inshore

Got me an idear, swap turkey hunts (we have 900 acres in Jefferson co that's eat up w/ them) for some redfish 'training' or good #'s?

Brian would give up his new girl before giving up his numbers! But, GS will give you some pointers..
