I’ve never fished out of St Marks before so me and my Dad decided to give it a try. The plan was for him to meet me at my house at 6:30. Well 6:45 and no dad, called the house, woke him up. 7:45 he pulls up and off we go. Left out of the Light house and headed to the bird rack. Fished the East flat right at the rack and as I’m tossing a top water, pops is fishing a sabiki for pin fish. The first three trout In the boat are all keepers 16â€

Not looking for reds that day, but I will go back. I did go up in the east river, not to fish but to chart the bars.

Looks like I need to go to Walmart and pick up some sabiki rigs.
Glad you got out there.

BH, the question you have to ask yourself is "Why did I buy this particular boat?".
Chalk, Birddog, Eerman, Reel Slow, or myself will be glad to go with you and help you tear it up.
What was I supposed to do today?

Logical answer would be not to knock the foot off

I was more than willing to go East on Sat. but I had a crew that was not interested in possibly walking back to the ramp or trolling 5-6 miles to get back. Looks like I'll have to go alone and scout it out over the next few weeks.
