4 year old boys

Post by Ty one on »

Well, he'll be four in February. This afternoon I was doing some measuring for the carport I'm planning on building this winter while it is cool and the fishing isn't great. I had Shane Boy helping me with some of the measurements. While I was writing he started measureing the gate. I asked him "What did it measure?" His respose was "six pounds". Now that is funny. I got to thinking, That is probaly the only unit of measure he knows.

Fishing may be in that boy's blood.

Yeah. But he had to make it up. The only 6 pounders he has seen around your house have been imaginary. :-D :smt005

It's a shame those kids have to grow up and be people... :o

My favorite age for my children was the age of four. I really cherish the memories of the sounds of them in another room....playing...giggleing...talking...with me listening.
Where do you recon your boy heard the figure of "6" pounds? :P

I did however explain inches and feet to him without getting into to much detail.

If that's the way he's thinking maybe you should replace your other partner with your son. That way he will show up when you do and be thinking 6 pounds,6 pounds,6 pounds. :D

Funny you said that, That is just what I'm thinking. Now that is just between you and me and those who read this forum. But I have talked it over with the Wife. Watch out for next year. Shane Boy does own his own rod. This is not a Joke, Repeat, This is not a joke.

If nothing else you can bring him to the NFGFC tournaments to qualify him for Junior Angler of the Year.
We need more youngsters in that program.

Someone might teach him. It will not be me. I don't own one and don't know how to use them. Besides, I'd rather him learn to catch bigger fish anyway :-D .
