Yea Beerfish, sounds like an outstanding day of fishing to me. Had me one of them .05 giant shads one time also. On pin fish tail, out of Spring Warrior. It was slow, I was sitting down not paying much attention. When he hit, it he was only about 30 feet from the boat. Jumped straight in the air completly out of the water. Estimate it to be 75-100 pounds. It was longer than I am tall. Scared the mess out of me. :o
.05 would be streching how long it took. It was over before I realized what happened.

cbass-didn't see any other ones, we were mostly around lanark reef and didn't really get over to turkey point.

yesterday was definitely one of my top 5 best days of fishing ever, which was really nice since last sunday was one of my top 5 worst days of fishing ever...but i did have back to back weekends w/ 24 inch redfish!

csmarine, that is about the exact same situation we had w/ distance from the boat and everything.

Beerfish, you said all were caught on live bait. Was it shrimp, pinfish or something else, also did you try any artificials? :o

we really just fished all around the reef on both sides using pinfish and shrimp and we didn't throw a single artificial all day

Thanks Beerfish, I hope to try it Thursday depending on the weather. I'm not feeling so good, some salt water therapy might help.
