Got the chance between invites and weather to go grouper fishing,
Everything worked great.
Left C Bell on the Hammer Knocker with an old and new friend, Mark and Ryan.

Fished from 40 to 80 feet, caught a few here and there. Caught some of the nicest Red snapper of the year, wish it was a day earlier in the season.

We put 9 Gags in the box, we caught not a single, grunt, trigger or rock bass. 2 small AJ's couple short red grouper all the rest Gags.

Ryan worked hard with his numbers, he has a very interesting way of just hoovering those yami 4 stokes over a spot instead of anchoring. Quit the show in boatman-ship, it was a pleasure to be on his Grady-White.

Weather was just as predicted, really. 1-2 with an occasional 3.
Just before calling it a day, I've got a LY soaking on my big boat rod in the back rod holder, while I try to jig up a grouper on my spinner.

The rod bends double, must be a shark, I start cranking, not even taking the rod out of the holder, crank, crank crank etc. a little color, big red snapper , no maybe shark, no it's a Gag(BIG) see's the boat heads to the bottom pulling on my hammered down drag, crank, crank etc....

My biggest grouper by far..

Great day on the water with a couple of great guys and very good fisherman.
