Tom's spot 11/11/06
Mr Keels and I hit the Aucilla for the NFGFC tourney trying to redeem ourselves for the day before (we're not even going there). Plan was to get our fish and get out before the tide completely fell out. Got to love it when a plan comes together
. Luckily Tom had me on board, cause somebody needed to catch some fish we could keep. Tom forgot that we could only weigh in one fish over 20" and then proceeded to put on a clinic on how to catch big trout. I think his final tally was 6 trout +20". In the meantime, I managed a few keeper trout. Tom finally decided to come down to my level and started adding keeper fish. We ended the day by 11. We had thrown back at least 3 limits of fish. We had 8 in the box with the smallest being about 18.5". The biggest at about 23" and FAT (Tom caught it but I had to point it out to him
). Tom added a couple of reds and a flounder. Best trout day I've ever seen. Thanks to Tom for a great day and a great game plan. Wish we had taken some pictures but we were busy.

Nothing that a new prop, a little skeg work, a skeg guard, and a new rim and trailer tire won't fix.rocket wrote:You know at some point your going to have to spill the beans about what happened to you boat.

I suppose we should have warned you that Keels is the very best at tearing up other folks' stuff.Eerman wrote:Nothing that a new prop, a little skeg work, a skeg guard, and a new rim and trailer tire won't fix.rocket wrote:You know at some point your going to have to spill the beans about what happened to you boat. Why didn't somebody tell us that there were rocks in these parts?
Y'all done good.
What was I supposed to do today?
Actually about three rocks, none bigger than a basketball, in a pretty little line...or they were in a pretty little line until we moved them for you guys.rocket wrote:Dang Eerman, you aint supposed to find ALL the rocks in one trip!

Glad the fish'n part worked out for you guys. If I remember correctly ...Tom learned to fish that area with an ole homemade wooden boat.... rocks didn't matter
Sounds like ya found that hole on the South side of the ramp as well
Good job fellows!

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

Did you really loose a tire/wheel on your trailer as well?

How bout some rock coordinates please?Eerman wrote:Actually about three rocks, none bigger than a basketball, in a pretty little line...or they were in a pretty little line until we moved them for you guys.rocket wrote:Dang Eerman, you aint supposed to find ALL the rocks in one trip!
GULP! free since 1970.
No coordinates...in west pass, maybe half way up...pretty much dead center. Yeah really lost a tire and rim too. The drop off cut the tire and bent the rim. That's why God invented spares.
