Opening day at Lake Miccosuckee was far better than average. In fact it was incredible. "Not in my life time" even commented one season veteran back at the camp. We were on the water by 5:15 and had decoys out and set-up by 6:05. As usual someone started the party off a little early, but it was steady by 6:30. We had 10 ducks on the water by 7:10 and people were starting to leave. Literally thousands of shots were fired in a steady rally for the first hour. Where we parked no one came out without the limit (20+ people), other than those that lost ducks in the weeds. We had mostly ring necks and few teal and a red head showed up at the camp. Unbeleivable morning. As goes with any boating, we ended up towing out two other boats and were on dry land by 9:00.
We were basically through by this time, so I could stop and take a picture.
Ringnecks in the boat.

I was a happy duck hunter.
