Post by Barhopr »

Time WDIR / Gust
8:06 am N 13.0kn /15.9 kn
9:00 am NNW 13.0kn /15.9kn
9:24 am N 15.9kn / 20.0kn
10:12 am N 13.0kn/ 19.0kn
12:24 pm N 14.0kn / 20.0kn
1:30 pm N 15.0kn / 20.0kn............
And so on and so on......
Gave it a good try though. After losing the bow roller guide off the trailer last night on the way to the coast I should have taken the hint. Got the boat in the water about 9:30 after I drove around trying to find a replacement....never did. Had to use a boatshoe for a replacement. Anyway, the day was not a complete loss, I did manage to set the hook on 3 reds(small) and actually boated 3 trout. :smt013

Most any day fishin is a good day. Some are just better than others. I understand all too well about the wind.
What was I supposed to do today?

With the negative tide it was a great set up for where I was, but the wind was so high the troller could barely keep up. Oh well next time..

yeah, it was a tactical error on my part. Had an out of the wind place to go but just couldn't give up on where I was (CIS).

Hmmmm....How far did you have to back into the bay to launch

Just to the hubs and pushed the boat off. It's easier to launch at that ramp on a low tide. You dont have to back out as far. I almost didn't make it over the first bar going out. Had to pole over it for about 75yds. Too shallow for the TM :o The area you and I fished was about 12-14" of dry land all day I did fish the deeper water further back. could have used a sea anchor.
