Never done it at Talquin; but I know big bucktails are a favorite for striper. Also have thrown topwater if you can finding them busting the shad on top.
"Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant?? I'm halfway through my fish burger and I realize, Oh man....I could be eating a slow learner."
Go to the back of the larger creeks on the west end of the lake. Throw a bucktail or stingray grub, and a chrome and black crank bait. Fish near the channels.
Although I have never caught any, I've heard that Ocklawaha is a good area as well as near the dam. I have never really fished for them. I would like to get into some. I have also heard that bucktails are a good lure and of course, shiners.
