I've got to be there all next w/e so I'm taking the skiff and hope to get into some of these....
Anybody on the board that can offer a little help? Went offshore out of Destin for 6-7 years and never fished the Bay much. They seem to be catching them at night around the docks near the base....Any help or anyone want to take the open seat on the boat Sat or Sun?
Been doing some fishing around the sound lately and haven't had much luck myself. From what I hear, live pinfish around structure is the trick for big bull reds. Flounder are in Destin Pass pretty good, with good catches coming fishing shrimp or jigs on bottom. Got into the bluefish big time at Mid-Bay Bridge last Saturday. Some decent sized ones for the gulf. Caught one that went 17". Could have kept two limits, but ended up only keeping a few of the better ones. May go for a spell this afternoon and try out some additions to the new boat. I'll more than likely be fishing next weekend if you want to ride with me or use your boat, whichever.
