we had a good time,

Left the light house about 9:30 am, with my wife to try out our new
Minn kota riptide.

Drifted the flats east of the 1st stake, often I can’t get much fishing in
Because of baiting, but this time it was because of catching,
True mostly ladyfish, but still fun, 1st hour a keeper trout and couple of
Blue fish in the cooler plus lots of action.

Then the man decides to check everything in the boat, just as the bite is on.
We checked out fine, but now the bite is off.

Tried to pick up a cobia around the bird rack, no luck but got a keeper
Spanish. Almost every thing today on a top water, quick diving redhead and white body

Trolled about ½ an hour no bites.

High tide, head for the oyster bars the new trolling motor is awesome,
But only 1 flounder to show for it, lots of things were jumping other than
Mullet.

Tomorrow is the second day of my fishing, head to 4 wheel it at the
East pass at St. George Island

RX, I feel for ya, having to spend time on the water, sharing time with your wife, and catching a few fish. I, on the other hand, spent a lovely day at work.

Good report.
What was I supposed to do today?

Sounds like a fine day on the water RX. I expected you'd like that Riptide. I have been impressed with mine. Which one did you get?

Bow mount, hand tilled, 55 pound thrust.

It worked great around the oyster beds, if you get too close, just put it in
reverse backed the boat right up.

got with in 20 yard of some tailing jacks without spooking.
