The heads were allways my Grandmothers favorites too. Most of the time the head was all she wanted. And of course I was good with that.
When it came to froglegs.......We would skin the whole body and cut off the head, as a kid it was cool seeing those frogs in the grease with arms, body and legs with no head. Those shoulders have good meat too.

If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.

There're fun to hunt! I hunt a lot of fox squirrels and take some greys for a wild game dinner we always have in March. I usually shoot them with a 22 pistol (more challenging).
Taking my 6 year old after christmas with the new 410 shotgun Santa is bringing him. Hopefully daddy can produce a nice fox squirrel he can harvest and get to hang in his room.

If there's not a life after fishing, I don't want to live it.....

Beats what an old girlfriend of one of my brothers did one time.
He took her, a non-hunter, on a short squirrel hunting safari. He shot a squirrel. Back to Grandma's house for supper, the squirrel gets left by the kitchen sink. After supper he mentions needing to clean the squirrel, then starts messing around with something else. So GF decides to help him out and "cleans" the squirrel for him. He goes in the kitchen, picks up the squirrel and, "Why is this squirrel so slippery? And why does it smell like dish soap?"
Because non-hunter GF "cleaned" the squirrel.

They should just relocate some of the ones we got. There're a beautiful mount when you have them done. We've got them in all colors. Solid black is the dominant species. I've got a little honey hole I go to every year and take up to 2 but won't take more than that.BlindHog wrote:Sharks, you are lucky up there in God's country. We Floridians cant shoot fox squirrels as they have been protected down here for some time.
