Keaton to Spring Warrior

Post by DixieReb »

Has anybody tried the Keaton to Spring Warrior stretch of coastline? I wonder if anything's biting down that way, this time of year is usually good there. We been fishing around Aucilla way and not do'in much. If anybody's been, please let me know how the fish'in has been there.

Reb, I was there a few days ago and the reds were all over the oyster bars and rocks. Didn't do much on the flats but the there was no wind and things were dead still. Still pretty shallow, even at hight tide. See post below. Let us know how you do if you decide to go..

I was there a couple of days ago and like DixieReb said, there were reds on the oyster bars, but they were all small (~15"), but still fun to catch. The tides are not good at all the rest of the year (low or negative tides in the middle of the day), which really screws with the patterns I like to fish.
