Garmin Ledgend or Magellan Explorist 210

Post by cygraphics »

I've been studying these two GPS handhelds for sometime now. I was wondering if any of you out there have either and could elaborate on any pros & cons. I decided on one these two because of the price and what they come with. It seems that they both come with the highways, lakes, rivers, coastlines, etc... I was also wondering if the waterways will include areas to avoid, stumps, rocks, etc. My main reason to have one is for hunting (deer, turkey, & duck), and then to use on a small john for fishing.

Thanks for any responses in advance.

BTW: I love this site! I surf it everyday, but I haven't had much to post yet. Hopefully the ducks and fish will be apleanty in 2007. I also second that motion to add a hunting thread.

Glad to have you aboard. I can't offer any info on the GPS units you asked about but I'm sure someone will.

Welcome- your vote for hunting thread is noted.

Most of the foks here use Garmin- and I'm on the verge of getting one as well.

Welcome to the BBFN site- Fine folks, good info and fun. :D
I don't own a Garmin, but everyone I know, that does, loves them. Good luck with whichever one you decide on.
Oh, and Merry Christmas... :-)
