Econfina 12-23

Post by fishful_thinkin »

Early morning greeted dad, brother- in-law, and me with heavy fog that would have been pretty scary getting to our redfish holes without my new toy (gpsmap 76csx). We got to the spot after finding a few "new oyster bars" and right off the bat started catching reds. The reds didn't have a lot of size but we kept 3 ranging from 20-23 inches. All total we caught 30 to 35 reds mostly in that range. The reds were hittin spoon, and soft plastics. I finally caught one on my redfish magic (been throwing the color off it with nothing until then). We also caught two trout a 17 inch and a 23 inch and no shorts. All in all great time with my family we all came home in one piece 8). Sorry I forgot the camera in the truck :smt013!!! Until next time...

Sweet!
I've thrown the "Redfish Magic" and haven't done to much. I still like my certain spoons when I go down.

Nice trip

I had a friend who got one of those Redfish Magic spoons and never caught anything. Good 'ol Johnson spoon and a plastic jig is hard to beat.
