I got my GPS out of the van from my trip to Greenville....The trip odometer said 973 miles total and a maximum speed of 370 mph ...It did fly off the dash a few times, but at 370 mph
I think it's impossible for your max speed to be anywhere near the 300+mph you claim it says. I wont believe it until I see it. send the unit to me so I can try and replicate the results, I'll send you mine as a replacement until I can complete the test
After a recent trip to the coast in my jon boat I noticed that the Max. Speed on the old garmin was 212 MPH. I thought to myself "Damn, no wonder I didn't catch anything. I was trolling way to fast." OMC power is awesome !

I think the only way to get a true life test is to have the unit just the way it was on the day the unit malfunctioned.

BH, you don't want that, either. Yesterday, while drifting, he asked me to take a look and check if we were drifting along one of his old tracks. I looked at his GPS, and told him I had no idea. It looked like a youngun had scribbled all over the screen.

He might of had a little too much of his avatar...
If there's not a life after fishing, I don't want to live it.....
