12/27/06 - You can lead a horse to water...

But you can't make it drink or change baits :o

Met up with Tincan around 0900 this morning for a much needed day on the pond...Slid the Ghostrider into the gulf and proceeded to discover the unknown.

Upon coming off plane, we arrive at a place void of much life except a few pelicans and the hum of a mullet boat in the distance. Fish along a flat adjacent to a deep channel...see a few redfish and nice trout...Slowly work our way to the sweet spot and lock into a nice oversized fatty, almost forgot what a fighting fish felt like...took a picture and let her go

Fish on down the area with the wind and end up picking up a few more redfish and seeing some really, really, really nice trout. Moved around a few times and caught or saw fish in about every spot we stopped at. Ended the day with a 26.5" and 23" redfish in the box.

Fish were chewing on jigs, spoons and spinner baits, caught 5 reds, missed several and saw alot more.

Good to be back on the pond, can't wait til next time...Thanks for tagging along Tincan

Chalk needed a feel good day. I stayed out of his way, let him catch a few fish, and netted them for him.
What was I supposed to do today?

Y'all did good. Its a team effort anyway.

If you had two cameras, Chalk could have taken a picture of TC taking a picture to include in the post.
If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.
