Needle in a haystack...

Post by Browning Slayer »

Look what the wife stumbled upon this afternoon. It's a Rufous hummingbird and that's a nickel next to it. :o
It's either a juvenile or a female. Tough to tell.. :o

Do what I do. Sit quietly on the porch, just below the hummingbird feeder. When they come to feed swat them briskly with a badminton racket.
They are so stupid,it works everytime.

They're much easier to hit if you bait um to a hummingbird feeder. I also reccommend #9 shot. :-D

I learned it from the wood boring bee epidemic I get every year.
Sit near my workshop with cold Coors Light and a badminton racket. When the wood boring bees come around,THWACK,THWACK,SIP,SIP,THWACK.
You get the picture?

The wood boring bees are much more of a challenge with a 2" wide board about 30" long. But I suppose, at your age, you need a badmitton racket to even come close. :-D

Another way to catch those bees is to have a cricket cage out with some crickets in it. Those silly bees will fly into the cage and can't get out. :smt005
If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.
