More Perch'in.

Post by DixieReb »

Got some more minnows and me and Dad hit another good perch pond this morning. Didn't get there until about 12:30 so action started out slow. About 2 pn the specks really turned it on and we ended up with 15 good specks from 8 to 11 '', 2 big bream, and caught a big bass I guessed at 8 lbs. No camera and no scales :( . We released her as she looked full of roe and about to bust. All I could think about was all the little bass she would make. We didn't know this pond had bass that size in it, I think when I go back I'll throw some plastic worms or big spinners. Got most of the fish on minnows, a few on blue tube jigs and 1/32 0z. heads.
Anyway, another good day on a pond. Dad called a buddy of his that went to Aucilla and at 1 pm he hadn't been able to leave the river due to low water. At 2 pm he was at the pinhook rocks and had no fish. I guess we went to the right place! :smt004
