What a rip off. Every time I have gone there....they try to sell me things I do not want. I have stopped going there totally.
Of course the local dealer's maintenance shops try it too. I was in the local Ford dealer's recently, with a new Ford, waiting for it to be serviced. We in the lounge were talking about how these guys always try to sell you something. While we were talking...in walked the service manager..with a dirty air filter...and says to us..."this thing is so dirty..want us to change it while we got it tore down"? :-? AT least they asked.

I think most folks are lucky to get a new oil filter when they go to places like that. Anywhere.

When I had my shoulder surgery I dropped my truck off at the tires plus on capital circle NE across from university Chevrolet and told them to change my oil and rotate my tires. BIG MISTAKE!! First off I always check behind the guys and they didn't rotate my tires. (I write my name on a tire to see where they put it) That got me thinking so I checked the oil filter and it had been changed and the drain plug had some blue lock tight stuff on it (so at least i knew that the oil had been changed). well a couple of months passed and it was time to change my oil again. Now that I am better I can do it myself. So I crawl under the truck to get the drain plug out and they have tightened it so tight that I had to use a impact gun to get it off and then it still had a Little trouble getting the plug loose. I vowed that I would NEVER have someone else change my oil again.

Always stand in bay and watch and it makes a difference....
I've only been told once I had to move to another area and I
retorted I would not authorize any work if I couldn't watch.
They stood their ground and I stood mine....went somewhere else
and have been using them for three vehicles for several years now.
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
