ARMY and back then we didn't wear a Beret unless we earned it. I remember that guy that changed that a few years ago. He has been working on that for 20 years and got his way when he got the stars. Thats the only way he could get a beret. Surprised he didn't try for the Green instead of Black. I think those Marine Rules fit everyone that carried a weapon.

Hey navy, nice bell bottoms!

US Marine Corps Rules Cont'd:

14. When conducting operations in an urban environment, it's always beneficial to make alliances with the disputing warlords, but if you do make enemies with one, don't treat them nicely.
15. A good plan executed violently now, is better than a perfect plan executed too late.
16. "So they've got us surrounded, good! Now we can fire in any direction, those b*****ds won't get away this time!"
CHESTY PULLER, USMC
17. "There are only two kinds of people that understand Marines: Marines and those who have met them in battle. Everyone else has a second-hand opinion." Author Unknown
18. "Sometimes it is entirely appropriate to kill a fly with a sledge-hammer!" MAJ. HOLDREDGE
19. "Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver. Situation excellent. I am attacking!" FERDINAND FOCH
20. "We're surrounded. That simplifies the problem!"
CHESTY PULLER, USMC
ETC.....

US Army Rules Cont'd:
4. "The safest place in Korea was right behind a platoon of Marines. Lord, how they could fight!"
MGen. Frank E. Lowe, USA; Korea, 26 January 1952
5. "The deadliest weapon in the world is a MARINE and his rifle!"
GEN. PERSHING, US.ARMY
6. "I have just returned from visiting the MARINES at the front, and there is not a finer fighting organization in the world!"
GEN. DOUGLAS MACARTHUR, U.S. ARMY

A quote from the enemy:

"Panic sweeps my men when they are facing the AMERICAN MARINES."
CAPTURED NORTH KOREAN MAJOR

JSuber. Kidding aside, I agree.......rules apply to all who have carried a weapon.

" Given adequate naval and air support, they (marines) could go ashore on any beach and take any objective. I could have landed them in the mouth of Hell if the Joint Chiefs of Staff had picked that target. Iwo Jima was a fair substitute." Holland M.(Howling Mad) Smith, Marine General WW2

Hey Sundown,
Great quote from "Howling Mad." He'd know good air/naval gunfire support.

I always thought it funny that when we went out on a top secret training exercise Ahji-Mah was waiting around the corner to sell us Ramien and Kimshee.
