Thanks for the warm welcome...I have my first question:
Me and a buddy are thinking of going out to lake Miccosukee tomorrow (sat) evening to try for some specks/catfish. I've never fished this lake and my buddy has been a few times (went last weekend and caught 10).
I guess my question is are we just wasting our time with this cold snap this weekend and the low being 37 tomorrow night? I know this is the time of year for specks, but being that it was so warm this past week and then hit us hard the past 48 hrs I hope it doesnt slow the fish down..We were gonna drop some minnows under lighted bobbers and maybe set up a light or two for attraction.
I can't believe I'm saying this but "I agree with Chalk" mid day will be a better feeding time than early or late BUT, the forecast is for the winds to be decent first thing Sat. and getting worse as the weekend goes along I plan on going first light in the morning
