St George Island fishing
I'm heading down to St George Island the week of July 4th and staying on the west end in the Plantations. I've heard about fishing the cut there, can anybody give me some info. I'll have a 17ft Sea Pro. The only fishing I've ever done before on the island is driving down to the East End so I'm curious about good places to go with the boat down there. Also does anybody know if there is a boat ramp in the Plantations? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
A bad day of fishin' beats a good day of workin'
There is a sand ramp in the plantation but I am not sure of the do's and don'ts.If not acessable there is the ramp at Battery Park at the base of Appalach bridge. I lived there for awhile, meet my wife that was a Ranger in the State park. Our house was in the park,so needless to say I fished that area a lot. Will also be down there all week prior to and just after the 4th. Some good fishing in the cit. The tarpon should be there and scattered around from east bay. Have to head off to work but would be more than glad to give you any info seeing how that was my back yard.
