Lowrance 4800M Global Map GPS

I just received one second hand. The previous owner upgraded to a color screen.

Looking for any comments with this unit.

It's a bad unit, so you might want to give it to me and I'll dispose of it properly

and I'll need all the hardware as well---it's all faulty.

I am kinda afriad to hook it up. I haven't had a GPS in two years and all has been well, except one time in the fog.............fog lifted and I was about two miles west of where I thought I was.

Yea I know what ya mean I look for land marks most of the time but to mark unknown rocks it can't be beat.
