From today's Democrat Fishing Report....

Fourth annual BigBendFishing.net social

Members of the BigBendFishing.net network are holding a social Saturday, February 24th, at the Myron B. Hodge Sopchoppy City Park. It's a chance for forum members and potential members to meet and greet each other in person. It's also a good opportunity for anglers new to the Tallahassee area to learn first-hand about the local fishing.

The social will be a family event and group effort. Everyone is encouraged to bring a covered dish to share with the group. In addition there will be a fish fry, hotdogs and hamburgers.

Everyone who signs up ahead of time and checks in at the social will get a free raffle ticket. Additional tickets will be available for $1. Bring a new lure (grubs, mirrolure, rapala, etc.) to the social and you will get an additional raffle ticket. The lures will go into a tackle bag and be raffled off as one of the grand prizes. All proceeds go to website maintenance.

The social begins at 11 a.m. until. Go south on U.S. 319 from Tallahassee to Sopchoppy, turn right on Sheldon and go to the end, turn left on Park. The park is located 1/4 mile down Park, on the right
