FS boat show in Ft. Walton
Got there just in time to attend Mark Nichols (D.O.A. lures) and his program on inshore fishing useing soft plastics. He was straight up with the info and didn't even try to tell the crowd that his products were better than the others. Just good info on catching mainly trout. Also got to see Capt. Scotty and Capt. Roy Ray both of the PC area discuss pompano and trout fishing. Good info and tips for finding both in the area. The main advice from both Mark Nichols and Roy, fish the soft plastics slow. M.Nichols says most folks fish the DOA way too fast and to makes sure you let the baits have time to reach the bottom on the cast before you start your retreive.

I was there on saturday after getting getting pretty beat up trying to run across choctawhatchee bay in 20+mph southeast winds to fish--only to find NO fish--not even a pinfish.Barhopr wrote: Shoulda been there!
Good stuff at the show, and I found some nice deals on shimano combos.
