A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
Good Morning, I have heard that you can make a very productive chum using cat food and menhaden oil. Is there a specific type of cat food that works better? Do you use just dry, just canned or a mixture of each? I plan on making a dispenser by using a section of PVC pipe drilled and a couple of clean outs. Any info on this topic would be helpful. Hope to see you on the water tomorrow.
I don't have no mackeral, Jack.
What is that anyway, canned cat food? Any suggestions on relative quanties for this growing list of ingredients? A little fresh basil and maybe some dill would go nicely I think.
No, they sell it next to the canned tuna and potted meat in the store.
It looks like this...
As for quantities, I have no idea. I don't think you can mess it up. I would try to keep it fairly pasty and not too loose (I knew a girl like that once).
As long as you have a container, you can seal up, just add stuff till it looks right.
