Went out about 08:20 with very sloppy 2-3' seas in search of sheephead and blackfish on the artificial reefs in 20' only had 2 short blackfish and no sheepies by 12:00. So we move 2 miles west to 22' with a big rock pile and get into a bunch of porgies on shrimp & squid, fun on the light tackle but still no blacks. So we decide to troll the stretch 25's and see what's willing to play with them at 13:30 the bite is on first gag to the boat 33". I look at the garmin to make sure and yes we are inside of the 9 mile line .We keep trolling gags keep biting some short and some not.The fishbox party is on.Seas settled to almost calm after lunch and the water temp.55. Head in at 15:00 and get to the #1 channel marker and my just replaced rebuilt prop spins the hub idle on in very PO'd
The bring home.
5 gags 22-33"
3 nice blackfish
9 porgies

yeah but it works fine,I don't do any casting with it. just bottom drops.I already had it versus buying another.Barhopr wrote:Nice day for sure. Is that a level wind reel on a spinning rod I see in the photos? Apparently it works really well for you

I don't remember the name of the place but it's down south somewhere.AJ wrote:Great trip, nice fish.
Who rebuilt your prop?
That's where Waymond sends them to,Joel at the marina said that they usally do good work down there. But Waymond got me a brand new one now, not another rebuilt one.
Sorry it took so long to answer you AJ but I just seen your question.
