Pending IGFA line class record seatrout

Post by Chalk »

Thought you guys would like this....really nice fish
trout teaser wrote:Hey guys, I know I haven't been that active on the forum but I just had to share this. Last Saturday while fishing down in Ft. Pierce I caught a beautiful 11.5 pound spotted seatrout on an EP style minnow that I tied myself (see pic). I was using a 10lb test class tippet and have applied for the 12 lb tippet line class for which the current record is 9.5 lbs. She was caught wading, blind casting to pot holes where I had seen multiple big trout earlier in the day and sight casted to a 7.5 pounder out of the boat. I have been gunning for this type of fish on fly for a long time and still can't believe it happened :D

That fish is huge! It's got to be 32-36" long. Gives me hope of one day landing a 30"+ trout. :o
