Lanark Report, 6/13/03

Post by dbplug »

Left the ramp at 7:45 AM, light chop, water 83 degrees, wind out of the south at about 10 MPH, very turned up, headed for back side of dog island and hopefully for the reef.

Sound had 2 foot rollers and moderate chop. Nixed the reef trip. Headed to TP shoal, last channel marker, seas 2-3 at that spot, drifted all the way north acrtoss the shoal, caught pins, storm coming, headed to back side of Lanark Shoal.

Rough Day, many storms to eye, total - 1 shark, 1 keeper trout late, a couple of the BLACKEST catfish I have ever seen, a strange fish with a trout mouth with a lot of teeth, and long thin spotted green body. Beats working.

Snorkeled a couple of spots, visibility was very poor, but the good news - bad news? Bad news first no scallops seen, good news - no poopers.

Off the water at 2:30 PM
for petes sake
